Mumbai Crime Branch had extradited Mohammed Salim Sohail Shaikh, a key associate of Salim Dola, who sells drugs on a large scale in India, from Dubai in 2025. After this, Mumbai Police also arrested Salim Dola’s son Tahir and four more members of his family by extraditing them from Dubai.

A reward of Rs 1 lakh was announced on Salim Dola. Red Corner Notice was issued against Salim Dola on the application of Narcotics Control Bureau. According to media reports, Salim Dola was running a drug business by traveling to many countries on a Saudi Arabian passport. After the arrest of Salim Dola in Turkey, if he is extradited to Saudi Arabia, then India can bring him from there. India does not have an extradition treaty with Turkey. Turkey’s relations with India are also not good. In such a situation, there is also a possibility that Salim Dola might be freed by the Turkish police. If this happens, then all efforts to bring Salim Dola to India may go in vain. At present the agencies are keeping an eye on the situation after the arrest of Salim Dola.
