A major change has been made in the leadership of Noida International Airport (Jewar Airport). Neetu Samra, who has vast experience in corporate finance, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the airport. He has replaced foreign CEO Christoph Schnellmann.

Neetu Samra was earlier working as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Noida Airport and has vast experience in the field of corporate finance. His appointment is being considered an important step towards the progress of the airport project and speeding up the processes.

Neetu Samra is considered an experienced professional in the corporate finance world of India. She has been handling financial management responsibilities in the aviation and corporate sectors for a long time.

- He is a Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
- He has over 20 years of corporate finance experience
Before coming to Noida International Airport, she was working as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the same project.

Subsequently it was clarified that airports of strategic importance in India should be headed by an Indian national.
After this decision, the airport is expected to soon get the final security clearance from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). This approval is very important to start operations.

Noida International Airport, also known as Jewar Airport, is one of the largest greenfield airport projects in India. There is a possibility of speeding up its operations now. After the appointment of Neetu Samra:

When will the flights start?
According to government sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this airport in March. Now it is expected that commercial flights can start within the next 45 to 60 days. The airport will have a capacity to handle approximately 1.2 crore passengers annually in the first phase. There are plans to develop it into India’s busiest aviation hub in the future.
