Big relief to Ranveer Singh, case canceled in ‘Kantara’ mimicry controversy, now he will go to the temple and apologize
Tezzbuzz Desk – Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has got a big relief in the ‘Kantara’ mimicry controversy case. Karnataka High Court has canceled the FIR registered against him, which has put an end to this long running dispute.
This matter came into discussion when Ranveer Singh was accused of mimicry of an act related to the film Kantara. Some people had raised objections regarding this, after which the matter took legal form.
Now an affidavit of ‘unconditional apology’ has been filed in the court on behalf of Ranveer Singh. His lawyer argued that the actor regrets his statement and the case should be closed. On this basis, the court canceled the FIR, but also placed an important condition.
The court has directed Ranveer Singh to go to the famous Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysore and apologize. The court has given him four weeks’ time for this.
Ranveer Singh did not appear personally in the court during the hearing. His lawyer said that after the recent success of his film ‘Dhurandhar 2’, his public outings are limited due to security reasons. For this reason, the date of visiting the temple has not been decided at present.
The court also said in its order that the sentiments of some people have been hurt by the actor’s behaviour, hence an apology is necessary socially. Going to the temple, praying and asking for forgiveness is considered a part of this process.
