Crowds gather to pay tribute to Hung Kings, Vietnam’s legendary founding fathers
Authorities began opening barriers at 8:30 a.m. to allow visitors to ascend Nghia Linh Mountain where the Hung Kings are worshiped. But crowds from various localities had already begun flocking to the Hung Temple historical site from around 4 a.m.
Vietnamese people commemorate the Hung Kings (2879-258 BCE), the nation’s founders, on the 10th day of the third lunar month, which falls on Sunday, April 26, this year.
