Chief Minister’s big announcement for workers

Gurugram, 26 April. Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini on Sunday gave an important gift to the working class at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Gurugram. Agreeing to the demand of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, the Chief Minister announced the formation of a ‘State Social Security Board’. Through this board, lakhs of auto drivers and drivers of the state will get the benefit of social security. The Chief Minister said that workers are the strong pillar of the economy of developed India and Haryana. On the occasion, he transferred an amount of Rs 40 crore directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries under 29 public welfare schemes.

Accusing the previous governments, the Chief Minister said that the minimum wage only doubled in the 10 years of Congress, whereas during the tenure of the present government it has increased more than three times. Under the ‘Code on Wages’ implemented on April 8, Haryana has now become the leading state in the country to pay minimum wage of Rs 19,425. The Chief Minister assured that protecting the interests of workers is the priority of the government and the process of handing over appointment letters to all eligible employees will be completed by June 15.

So far, 54.32 lakh workers have been registered on the e-Shram portal in the state. The Chief Minister said that an incentive amount of Rs 1100 is being given to the workers who register on the portal. In the field of health services, the capacity of the ESI hospital at Manesar will be increased from 100 to 200 beds and a medical college will also be established here. Apart from this, new ESIC dispensaries are being opened in Hasru, Wazirabad and Fatehabad, which will benefit lakhs of laborers working in industrial areas.


Education schemes for workers’ children

‘Atal Residential School’ and the future of workers’ children

The government is now paying special attention to the education of the children of workers. ‘Atal Residential Schools’ will be established for high quality education from classes 6 to 12. Along with this, provision has been made for financial assistance of Rs 8 to 20 thousand per year for children’s education, Kanyadaan amount for marriage of daughters and in case of serious injury or death, financial assistance up to Rs 5.15 lakh has been made. Industries Minister Rao Narbir Singh also addressed the function and said that the foundation of Haryana’s progress has been built by the sweat of the workers, to whom the government will leave no stone unturned to honour.
