KKR batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi given out for obstructing the field, throws helmet in anger

Kolkata Knight Riders batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi was given out for obstructing the field during the IPL 2026 match against the Lucknow Super Giants on April 26. The incident happened on the final delivery of the fifth over as the batter went for a single after playing a delivery from pacer Prince Yadav towards the mid-on region.

However, he was told to return by the non-striker Cameron Green, and the throw from the fielder struck Raghuvanshi’s legs. LSG captain Rishabh Pant and fast bowler Mohammed Shami started appealing.

The matter was referred to the third umpire, who gave the batter out for deliberately changing his path and preventing the throw from reaching the wicket-keeper. The KKR dugout was stunned, and Raghuvanshi was seen arguing with the on-field umpires. He showed his frustration by throwing his helmet on the ground.

Meanwhile, KKR were dismantled by Mohsin Khan, who took five wickets against the three-time champions. He dismissed Ajinkya Rahane (10), Tim Seifert (0), Green (34), Rovman Powell (1) and Anukul Roy (0). Earlier, Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and elected to bowl first against the visiting KKR side.

Kolkata went in with an unchanged team while Lucknow added  George Linde to the starting XI.
