UP Rain Alert: Weather patterns are going to change in these states including UP, there will be rain and relief from the scorching heat.
New Delhi. North India is in the grip of extreme heat these days. In Banda, Uttar Pradesh, the temperature has crossed 47 degrees, while in Prayagraj the temperature is around 45 degrees. Apart from this, states like Delhi, Bihar, Punjab etc. are also experiencing severe heat. Heatwave is expected to continue in North and Central India for the next three days. After this, there will be rain in many states, which will provide relief from the heat. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in many states including UP, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of widespread rainfall with thunder, lightning and strong winds in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, North Eastern India during this week. Heavy to very heavy rain is also likely to occur at some places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and North Eastern India. During the next one week, there is a possibility of thunderstorms in East India between April 28 and May 2, in North-West India, in Central India between April 27-30 and in South India between April 28 and 30.

Talking about the weather of North-West India, there is a possibility of sporadic to very widespread light to moderate rain, snowfall along with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh on 27th and 28th April, during 28th to 30th April and in Uttarakhand during 28th April to 2nd May. Scattered to moderate rain, thunder, lightning and strong winds are going to occur in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh during April 27 to May 2. There is going to be rain, strong winds and lightning in Uttar Pradesh from April 28 to May 2 and in Rajasthan from April 26 to 29. At the same time, on April 28, a warning has been issued for sporadic hailstorm in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on April 28-29.

Talking about Northeast India, strong winds and moderate rainfall are expected during April 26 to 30. There will be heavy rain at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya during April 26 to May 2, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura during April 26 to May 1. At the same time, there will be very heavy rains at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh during April 27 and April 30 to May 2, Assam and Meghalaya during April 27 to 30.
