But do you know that there are many things in the kitchen which we use wrongly and have not changed our ways till now?
Using kitchen items incorrectly
When things are misused in the kitchen, it not only affects the ingredients but also increases the cooking time. Apart from this, it can also reduce the taste and sometimes the goods spoil quickly. Let us know about some kitchen items which we have been using incorrectly.
Use of non-stick pan on high flame
Non-stick pans have become very popular in Indian kitchens these days. Often people keep them at high temperature to cook food quickly. But this is a big mistake. Due to excessive heating, the coating of the pan starts deteriorating, due to which the food starts sticking and the lifespan of the pan also reduces. Therefore, always use a non-stick pan on low or medium flame and do not heat it empty for too long.
Wooden Chopping Board Care
The use of chopping boards in the kitchen is common, and wooden chopping boards are on the rise. Simply washing them with water after use is not enough. Dirt and bacteria can get trapped in the small cuts on these. Therefore, wooden chopping boards should be washed with mild soap and occasionally rubbed with salt and lemon. Don’t forget to dry it thoroughly after washing.
putting hot things in mixer
While working in the kitchen, we are often in a hurry and put hot gravy, soup or spices directly in the mixer and grind them. Doing this creates steam inside, due to which the lid can open. This poses a risk of burning and may also have a negative impact on the mixer. Therefore, allow the contents to cool slightly and fill the jar only half before adding it to the mixer.
