PM Modi roared in Bengal: “Will give freedom from TMC’s ‘Jungle Raj’”, sharp attack on Mamata government
West Bengal. Political activity has intensified before the second phase of assembly elections 2026. In this sequence, while addressing a huge public meeting in Bangaon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi fiercely targeted Trinamool Congress and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
PM Modi said that TMC, which once came to power with the slogan of “Maa, Mati, Manush”, has now forgotten these words. He alleged that TMC’s policies “made mothers cry, handed over the soil to syndicates and infiltrators and forced Manush to migrate.”
“We will get freedom with one vote”-
Seeking support from the public, the Prime Minister said that Bengal has immense potential and can again become the number-one state in the country. Referring to Subhas Chandra Bose, he said that just as sacrifice was made for independence, in the same way change has to be brought with one vote.
He said, “You vote for us, we will give you freedom from corruption, fear, unemployment and atrocities of TMC.”
Raised the issue of Sandeshkhali-
Referring to the incidents of Sandeshkhali, PM Modi said that injustice has been done to women under TMC rule. He alleged that the state government supported the culprits and suppressed the voices of the victims.
A flurry of plans and promises-
Referring to BJP’s plans, the Prime Minister said:
Women will get free treatment up to ₹ 5 lakh
Affordable medicines will be available at Jan Aushadhi Centers
Cancer screening and vaccination will be free
₹ 21,000 assistance will be given during pregnancy and ₹ 50,000 assistance will be given for daughters’ education.
Promise to give ₹36,000 to women’s accounts every year
He also said that work will be done towards giving 33% reservation to women in government jobs.
Refugees assured of citizenship-
While assuring the people of Matua and Namashudra community, PM Modi said that all the refugee families will be given citizenship, identity and their rights. “This is Modi’s guarantee,” he said.
Political temperature at its peak-
After this speech of PM Modi, the politics of Bengal has become more heated. In the election environment, allegations and counter-allegations have intensified and the contest in the second phase is expected to be even more interesting.
