Nishant Dev registers sixth successive win on pro boxing circuit
Indian boxer Nishant Dev continued his winning streak in the professional circuit, registering his sixth straight victory in Las Vegas on Sunday.
Nishant knocked out Juan Carlos Guerra with a second round stoppage in an eight-round super welterweight bout on the undercard of Jarrell Millar vs. Lenier Pero’s main fight.
Sunday’s bout was the 2024 Paris Olympian’s fourth knockout win from six bouts so far.
“I want to become World Champion from India and I want to fight back home in the presence of the President and Prime Minister, it will help the sport. Maybe in Mumbai or Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat with 150k spectators,” Nishant said in an interview to DAZN after his bout.
The 2023 World Championship bronze medalist turned professional in 2025, signing a contract with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.
He made his successful professional debut with a first-round knockout (TKO) against Alton Wiggins on the Diego Pacheco vs. Steven Nelson undercard in in Las Vegas the same year.
