Cynthia Erivo celebrates her personal best at London Marathon
Cynthia Erivo shared her personal best and big win with fans after finishing the London Marathon.
The Oscar-winning actress earned a win after reaching the line in a striking 3 hours, 21 minutes, and 40 seconds during the biggest ever marathon in the city, on Sunday, April 26.
After marking the win, Erivo rushed to Instagram to share her personal best, posting a snap of her medal and a short video of her running among the contestants.
“3:21:40. New personal best,” she added in the caption of her post.
Erivo maintained a record of an average of 4:46 per km, leaving fans in shock as she stormed through the streets of London.
Beyond her impressive endurance, Erivo gave fans chills as Wicked’s signature track Defying Gravity played in the background.
A few hours after her Instagram post, the Wicked actress collaborated with Brooks Running on the post, featuring Erivo’s photos from marathon morning.
“A good run is simply the run that happened. Today, it happened to be a new personal best. Congratulations on 3:21:40 in London @cynthiaerivo,” he added the caption.
Erivo has currently joined Guy Pearce in the cast for The Road Homea musical drama, directed by Bill Condon.
The film’s storyline is described as “a powerful story about art intersecting with activism, a friction that’s only become more complex with time.”
