Box office bomb of Akshay Kumar’s Bhoot Bangla crosses Rs 100 crore in 9 days
New Delhi . Currently, there is a fierce competition between three big films at the box office and in this race, Akshay Kumar’s film Bhoot Bungalow seems to be leading. After a long time, the pairing of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan made a comeback and this film created a stir in the theaters as soon as it came. The film has entered the Rs 100 crore club on the ninth day of its release, which shows its strong hold.
Bhoot Bangla showed a spectacular jump on the ninth day and earned Rs 10.75 crore. This earning was about 87 percent more than on the 8th day. With this, the total net collection of the film has reached Rs 100.90 crore while the gross collection has reached Rs 120.10 crore. The special thing is that the film had a good start from the paid preview itself and its earnings witnessed a rise from the second day itself. Talking about the worldwide collection, this film has crossed Rs 161.60 crore, making it among the big films of the year 2026.
Along with Akshay Kumar, actors like Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani Tabu and Vamika Gabbi have played important roles in the film and the audience is liking its comedy and entertainment.
On the other hand, Hollywood film Michael, which is based on the life of pop icon Michael Jackson, gave good competition in the beginning but its pace slowed down on the second day. The film earned around Rs 5 crore on the second day, which was half of that of Bhoot Bangla. However, compared to the opening day, growth has definitely been seen. The total net collection of Michael in two days has reached Rs 10.30 crore but it still seems to be struggling to make a strong hold at the Indian box office.
Now talking about Dhurandhar 2, this film has already created history at the box office. Aditya Dhar’s film has continued its earning streak even in 38 days. Although its earnings have declined with time, still it is earning in crores, which is a big thing in itself. On the 38th day, the film earned Rs 2.95 crore, which was almost 90 percent more than the previous day.
The total net collection of Dhurandhar 2 has now reached Rs 1127.14 crore while the gross collection has reached Rs 1349.13 crore. At the worldwide level, this film has touched the figure of Rs 1772.88 crore, due to which it is still counted among the biggest films.
On Saturday, April 25, there was a direct competition between these three films where Bhoot Bangla took the lead with the earning of Rs 10.75 crore. Michael settled at Rs 5 crore while Dhurandhar 2 also maintained its hold.
Overall, the dominance of Bhoot Bangla at the box office is clearly visible at this time, while Michael will still have to strengthen his hold and Dhurandhar 2 is proving to be a long race horse.
