Ashok Gehlot’s political attack on TMC, said- Mamata Banerjee is responsible for BJP’s entry in Bengal, Rahul Gandhi is right.
Kolkata, 27 April. Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Ashok Gehlot made sharp political attacks on Mamata Banerjee government and Modi government at the Center during the press conference held at Kolkata Press Club on Sunday. Gehlot, who is on an election tour of West Bengal, strongly supported the stand of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and said that the corruption and policies of Mamata Banerjee and her government are directly responsible for the entry of BJP on the soil of Bengal.
Gehlot said that the culture and values of West Bengal are completely different from other parts of the country, where the entry of BJP could never have been imagined. Reiterating Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s statement, he said that the message of corruption and scams in Bengal has created a wrong impression among the public. The silence within the government gave the BJP an opportunity to make a dent in the state.
Gehlot raised the question that if BJP is entering a state where the culture is so rich, then the failures of Mamata government are to blame for this. “We could never have imagined that BJP would ever enter Bengal. The culture here is completely different, if BJP is entering that state then who is to blame? Mamata Banerjee, her government is to blame. What wrong did Shri Rahul Gandhi say?”
Gehlot said that even after two years of our government leaving, our schemes are discussed in every house of Rajasthan. He said that we conducted a successful experiment in the health sector in Rajasthan, where free treatment, MRI, CT scan and medicines worth up to Rs 25 lakh were provided completely free of cost. He told that 85% of the work on the refinery being set up at Pachpadra in Rajasthan was done during his tenure.
Gehlot said, “My dream is that the experiment we conducted in Rajasthan should be implemented in Bengal and the entire country.” He stressed that promises like AI center for youth in Bengal and free bus travel for women are not just on paper, but it is a commitment of Congress which we will fulfill.
BJP does horsetrading, failed in Rajasthan…
Taking on the functioning of the Central Government and BJP, Gehlot said that Modi ji’s graph is continuously falling. He accused BJP of killing democracy through ‘horse trading’. Shri Gehlot said that the country has seen the way elected governments were toppled in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Regarding BJP’s efforts in Rajasthan, Shri Gehlot said that they tried within Rajasthan also but they could not succeed and failed.
