In the match played against Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday, Kolkata Knight Riders’ star batsman Rinku Singh performed brilliantly and contributed significantly in helping his team win. They lost the toss and came to bat first. KKR team kept losing wickets one after the other and when Rinku Singh came to bat, KKR’s score was 31-4.

Rinku Singh may or may not have dedicated this match-winning inning to anyone, but his fiancee Priya Saroj, who was present in the stands, dedicated it to her father-in-law i.e. Rinku Singh’s father.

KKR won in super over
The first Super Over of IPL 2026 was played between Lucknow Super Giants and Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday night. In this match played at Ekana Stadium, KKR scored 155 runs in the first 20 overs and then LSG, who came to chase, could only score 155 runs and the match went into the super over. Where, Lucknow team, which came to bat first, lost its 2 wickets in just 3 overs and KKR got the target of only 2 runs.

Rinku Singh achieved this small target by hitting a four on the very first ball of his Super Over and gave Kolkata Knight Riders their second win of this season.
