Young man fell from train, train did not stop due to emergency chain pulling

According to a passenger present in the video, the incident occurred after crossing Jalpaiguri station. The youth fell from the train, after which the passengers immediately pulled the chain and tried to lodge a complaint on the 182 helpline as well as Rail Madad.

TTE was also informed, but despite this no immediate help was received and the train continued moving ahead. It is being told that the young man had already fallen about 10-15 kilometers ago, which increased the concern about his condition.

Railway expressed regret and ordered investigation

After the matter came to light, a response has been given by Indian Railways. Expressing regret on social media, Railway Seva has directed the concerned authorities to investigate. Besides, DRM of Katihar division has been entrusted with the investigation of this entire matter.
