Deadly watermelon? Four people of the same family died after eating watermelon at night!

A shocking incident of alleged food poisoning has come to light in Pydhuni area of ​​South Mumbai, in which four people of a Muslim family died. The deceased include a 40-year-old husband, 35-year-old wife and their two daughters aged 16 and 13. According to the information received, the family had dinner with relatives at around 10:30 pm on April 25. A total of nine people had eaten. After the meal the relatives returned to their respective homes. After this, all four of them ate watermelon between 1 and 1:30 in the night.

It is being told that all the 9 people of the family had eaten biryani, but after that only these four people ate watermelon in the night. It is feared that due to this his health deteriorated. However, the rest of the people who ate biryani did not face any problem.

After eating watermelon at night, all four started complaining of vomiting and diarrhea between 5:30 and 6 in the morning. He was immediately taken to the family doctor, but as his condition became critical, he was admitted to JJ Hospital for further treatment.

The younger daughter died during treatment at 10:15 am, while the head of the family died at 10:30 pm. Even before this, his wife and elder daughter had also died. Post mortem has been conducted in this case and histopathology report is awaited to find out the exact cause of death. Meanwhile, this incident has been registered as Accidental Death (AD) at JJ Marg Police Station and the police is investigating further.
