Important news for Jio users, inactive SIMs can be switched off, know these affordable recharge plans to save SIM
Tezzbuzz Desk- If you use secondary SIM of Reliance Jio, then this news is very important for you. According to reports, the company is now deactivating those SIM cards which have been lying inactive for a long time. Many users have complained that their numbers are being switched off without any notice.
Why are the numbers being switched off? Know the rules
According to the rules of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), if a user does not do any activity or recharge on his number for 90 days, then the telecom company can block that number.
What happens after 90 days?
If there is no activity for 90 days, the company can give additional validity of 30 days. For this, a maximum of Rs 20 can be deducted from the talk-time balance. If there is no balance, the number goes into the grace period. After the grace period of 15 days the number can be completely deactivated.
What will happen once the number is switched off?
If your number gets deactivated, the company can allot it to another user. In such a situation, your number may be lost forever, which may cause problems in the future.
Complaints of users on social media
Many users on X (Twitter) are posting about this problem. According to user Abhishek Yadav, every day many people are complaining about SIM deactivation, especially those users who keep SIM only for incoming calls.
What to do to keep SIM active?
If you want your number to remain active, then it is important to recharge it from time to time. Only small data packs will not suffice, because for these it is necessary to have a base plan.
