RCB Steamroll Delhi Capitals in 9-Wicket Demolition at Bengaluru
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured a huge victory over the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2026 game played at Delhi.
They clinched a 9-wicket victory after restricting the Capitals to 75 runs in their innings. With this win, RCB retains their second spot in the IPL 2026 points table.
After being invited to bat first, Sahil Parakh and KL Rahul opened the innings while Bhuvneshwar Kumar opened the bowling attack.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar bagged the wicket of Sahil Parakh for a duck. He delivered an inswing yorker where the batter was a little slow, and the ball uprooted the middle stump.
Josh Hazlewood, who came to bowl the second over, bagged the wickets of KL Rahul and Sameer Rizvi on consecutive deliveries.
KL Rahul got dismissed on the back of length outside off, where the ball got edged and Jitesh Sharma took the catch at ease.
Meanwhile, Sameer Rizvi got dismissed on good length delivery where he nicks the ball to the keeper. Losing three wickets for 2 runs, Delhi Capitals are in a tough spot.
RCB’s bowling attack did not stop as Bhuvneshwar Kumar got the wickets of Tristan Stubss and Axar Patel in the same over.
Tristan Stubbs went back to dug out after being caught out on a swinger just outside off where the edges it straight to Devdutt Padikkal.

On the other hand, Axar Patel got dismissed on good delivery outside off and swinging off got bottom edged where Jitesh Sharma took the catch behind the wickets.
The pacer duo picked six wickets within powerplay to set up a easy chase for the side on Monday’s clash.
With 6 down, Abhishek Porel has been brought in as impact sub. Along with David Miller, the side is aiming for a revival as they duo stitching a partnership.
However, Rasik Salam Dar dismissed Miller for 19 runs. He got dismissed on a delivery who was aiming for a pull, goes early for the shot and Jitesh takes the catch behind the wicket.
Krunal Pandya dismissed Kyle Jamieson (12) on a lbw while Suyash Sharma bowled out Kuldeep Yadav for 3 runs.
With the dismissal of Abhishek Porel for 30 runs, Delhi Capitals got dismissed for 75 runs in the 17th over. This will be the third-lowest team score for the Delhi Capitals in IPL history.
Chaising the 75 runs, Jacob Bethell and Virat Kohli opened the innings while Kyle Jamieson opened the bowling attack.
Bethell gave a solid start scoring 20 runs off 10 deliveries before being dismissed by Kyle Jamieson. He got dismissed on a catch from Natrajan from Mid on sending his back to dugout.
With Virat Kohli Devdutt Padikkal on crease, RCB scored 65 runs in the powerplay. Devdutt has been in fine form scoring 34* runs off 13 deliveries.
Meanwhile Virat Kohli scored 23* runs off 15 deliveries as the side completed the chase in the 7th over. He also become the first batter to cross 9000 runs in the IPL history.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play their next match against Gujarat Titans on April 30 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
