Sanjay Dutt’s move to apologize: appeared before the Women’s Commission
Controversy over Sanjay Dutt and Nora Fatehi’s song
New Delhi: The controversy regarding the song ‘Sarke Chunari Teri’ of famous Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and actress Nora Fatehi is not stopping. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken a strict stance on the allegations of objectionable lyrics of the song and hurting the dignity of women. During the hearing of this case on Monday, Sanjay Dutt appeared before the Commission and not only presented his side, but also accepted his mistake and apologized. With this he has taken an important step to resolve the matter.
Sanjay Dutt’s side
After receiving summons from the National Commission for Women, Sanjay Dutt reached the Commission’s office on Monday. During this, media persons tried to surround him, but he refused to comment on the issue. The Commission had received many complaints regarding the content of this song, which was considered extremely objectionable for society and women. Sanjay Dutt, while presenting his side before the panel, accepted the seriousness of the matter.
Responsibility for education of tribal girls
During the hearing, Sanjay Dutt not only apologized but also took a positive initiative. He has given an undertaking to the Commission, under which he has promised to bear the entire expense of the education of 50 tribal girls. The Women’s Commission had taken a tough stand regarding obscenity in the song, after which Sanjay Dutt also assured to cooperate in the investigation.
Last warning to Nora Fatehi
Nora Fatehi is also in the lead role in this controversial song, due to which the Women Commission has also sent summons to her. Nora herself did not appear in the last hearing, but her lawyer appeared before the Commission, which was rejected by the Commission. Now the Commission has directed that Nora will have to appear before the panel in person, and this is her last opportunity. Apart from this, after huge controversy and intervention of Women’s Commission, this song from the film ‘KD: The Devil’ has been removed from YouTube. The commission also rejected the producers’ plea that they had no idea of the impact of the song.
