Applicable to: All schools from nursery to class 8th (be it UP Board, CBSE or ICSE). Strictness: This is not just a suggestion, it is an order! If any school acts arbitrarily, then it is okay.

Authorities have given strict instructions to schools that: 1. Cold and clean water should be available for children at all times. 2. Children should not be taken out into the ground in the afternoon sun (current break on PT and sports). 3. Manage the crowd during holidays in such a way that children stay in the sun for minimum time.

If you are thinking that the weather will cool down in a day or two, then you are wrong. IMD says that the temperature on Monday was 42.3 degrees, which is much higher than normal. There may be light drizzle, but there is no respite from the heat.
