Material
Ripe mangoes – 3-4 (sweet and juicy)
Sugar – 2-3 tbsp (depending on sweetness of mango)
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Cardamom powder – a pinch
Method
- First of all, wash the mango, peel it and take out the pulp. Now put it in the mixer and make a smooth puree.
- Add mango puree in a pan and cook on low flame for 10-15 minutes. Keep stirring in between so that it does not stick.
- Now add sugar, lemon juice and cardamom powder and mix well. Cook it until the mixture becomes slightly thick.
- Grease a plate or tray with ghee or spread butter paper. Now spread the mango mixture in a thin layer.
- Dry it in strong sunlight for 1–2 days. If there is no sunlight, you can dry it under a fan or in the oven (low temperature). When it dries completely and is no longer sticky, cut it into desired shapes.
tips
- The sweeter the mangoes are, the less sugar will have to be added.
- Do not keep the layer too thick, otherwise it will take more time to dry.
- If you want, you can increase the sweet-sour taste by adding a little black salt or chili powder to it.
