Grandfather, great grandfather were CMs, eyes fixed on Dushyant, what message is Haryana Police giving?
Former Deputy CM of Haryana Dushyant Chautala is in the news these days. The family which was once the center of power in Haryana, now a son of the same family is demanding answers from the officers for blocking his way but is not being heard. A few years ago, the same Dushyant Chautala was being called the future Chief Minister and now he is accusing the current Chief Minister that everything is happening at his behest. Questions are also being raised regarding this incident with Dushyant Chautala, who was the partner of power till the year 2024 with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is in power in Haryana, what message is the BJP government trying to give?
This controversy started from Guru Jambheshwar University located in Hisar, Haryana. Dushyant Chautala had alleged that when he was going to arrest him, a policeman in plain clothes had pointed a pistol at him. Its video was also revealed in which it was seen that a policeman was standing with a pistol in front of a vehicle of Dushyant Chautala’s escort. However, when Dushyant Chautala and his brother Digvijay Chautala reached there, the policeman left in the car. Many people have also been arrested in this case.

Challenge dominance
This incident is surprising in Haryana’s politics because the Chautala family, which has been the center of power in Haryana for a long time, has always had a strong reputation. Be it Chaudhary Devi Lal, his son Om Prakash Chautala or Dushyant Chautala. The Chautala family has been very influential due to their proximity to power. The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) ran the government with different parties at different times and maintained its dominance. Before the 2019 elections, Dushyant Chautala himself was the Deputy CM through the break in INLD and the newly formed party Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) and handled many important ministries of the government.
Before the 2024 elections, Dushyant Chautala separated from the government and many of his MLAs also changed sides. JJD, which contested the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, suffered a huge loss and Deputy CM Dushyant’s party could not win even a single seat. Dushyant Chautala himself and his mother Naina Chautala also lost.
