Books and objectionable material found in Zubair Ansari’s house
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said regarding the suspected “Lone Wolf” terrorist attack in Mira Road that it seems to be a case of “self-radicalisation”. He said that some books and objectionable material have been recovered from the house of accused Zubair Ansari.
According to CM Fadnavis, the accused earlier lived in America and had recently returned to India. Initial investigation has revealed that he was influenced by fundamentalist ideas and allegedly wanted to attack people of Hindu community in the name of Jihad, due to which he carried out this incident. He said that the case is being investigated by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the state government is fully cooperating with these agencies.
The Chief Minister also said that the investigation will not be limited to the accused only, but it will also be seen who are the people or networks involved in his radicalization. The entire matter will be investigated in depth so that any possible conspiracy can be detected.
