- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 2 teaspoons cream (optional)
- salt as per taste
- 2 teaspoons oil or ghee
How to make Saag Paneer
Making Saag Paneer is very simple. For this, first of all wash spinach and mustard greens thoroughly. Boil them lightly, cool them and then grind them in a mixer to make a smooth paste.
Add some oil in a pan and fry the paneer pieces until they become light golden. This makes the taste of cheese even better.
Now add cumin seeds in the same pan and fry them. After this add onion and fry till it turns golden. Then add ginger-garlic paste and green chilli. Add tomato puree and cook the masala well until the oil separates.
Now add the prepared greens paste to the spices and mix well. Add salt, turmeric, coriander powder and garam masala in it. Cook for 5-7 minutes, then add fried paneer and cook on low flame for a few minutes.
Finally add cream, mix (if using) and turn off the gas. Hot Saag Paneer is ready, which you can serve with roti, paratha or rice.
