They are afraid that if the girls working at the ground level, who are leading the local bodies today, reach the assembly and parliament, the control of these dynastic parties will end.” He criticized that the law has once again been shown a ‘red flag’ by those who have kept women’s rights hanging for the past 40 years.

3 Crore Sisters Become ‘Lakhpati Didi’

Stating that women are at the center of central government schemes, Modi presented the statistics. From 2014 till now:

  • Construction of more than 12 crore toilets.
  • Bank accounts of more than 30 crore women have been opened.
  • Electricity connection to 2.5 crore households and piped water to 12 crore households.
  • 10 crore women have been linked to self-help groups, so far 3 crore women have become ‘Lakhpati Didis’.

Speed ​​up UP and Maharashtra connectivity

During the event, the Prime Minister flagged off two new ‘Amrit Bharat Express’ trains. These include Banaras-Pune (Hadapsar) and Ayodhya-Mumbai (LTT) trains. “These trains will further improve connectivity between Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. Mumbai and Pune residents now have a modern and fast option to reach Ayodhya Dham as well as Kashi Vishwanath Dham,” Modi noted.
