If you are bored with everyday pakodas or namkeen, then this easy recipe can bring a new twist to your kitchen. The special thing is that it does not take much time to make and the ingredients are easily available at home.

  • 2 boiled potatoes
  • 1 cup semolina (rava)
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 finely chopped green chilli
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • salt as per taste
  • Green Coriander (chopped)
  • Oil (for frying or shallow frying)

How to make Aloo Suji Bites

To prepare Potato Semolina Bites, first add semolina and curd in a bowl and mix well. Prepare a smooth batter by adding some water to it and keep it covered for 10-15 minutes, so that the semolina swells.

Now mash the boiled potatoes and add green chilli, ginger paste, salt, red chilli, turmeric and chaat masala and mix well. Finally add green coriander.

Now add the potato mixture to the prepared semolina batter and mix well. Shape this mixture into small bites or tikkis.

Heat oil in a pan and fry these bites on medium flame until they turn golden brown. If you want, you can also shallow fry in less oil. When the bites become nicely crunchy, take them out in a plate and serve hot with green chutney or tomato sauce.
