Weather Alert – Very Heavy Rain,Lightning & Thunderstorm Warning for 27 States Next 4 Days

Weather Update: The weather is set to change once again across North India, including the Delhi-NCR region. Alerts have been issued for most states across the country due to anticipated thunderstorms, rainfall, and squalls. According to the Meteorological Department, light clouds are expected to hover over Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad this evening, April 29. A warning has also been issued for Himachal Pradesh, anticipating rainfall between April 28 and 30, and on May 3.

According to the latest weather bulletin from the IMD (India Meteorological Department), the activation of a Western Disturbance and several cyclonic circulations is poised to trigger a spell of heavy rainfall and lightning strikes. Consequently, temperatures are expected to drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius due to the rain.

The Meteorological Department has indicated a likelihood of significantly heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunder, lightning, and strong winds (40–60 km/h), across Northeast India during this week. Heavy rainfall is also likely in isolated places across Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Northeast India on several days this week.

– According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rainfall in Jammu & Kashmir on April 29, as well as between May 2 and May 4.
– An alert regarding rainfall has been issued for Himachal Pradesh for the period from April 29 to May 1, and again on May 3 and May 4. – Regarding Uttarakhand, an alert has been issued for thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds during the period from April 29 to May 4.
– A warning for heavy rainfall and storms has been issued for Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi for the periods of April 29–30 and May 2–4.
– Rain is likely in Western Uttar Pradesh during April 28–30, and in Eastern Uttar Pradesh during April 29–May 1.
– Northeast India: Continuous heavy rainfall is anticipated in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura from April 29 to May 4.
– South India: Heavy rainfall is expected in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and South Karnataka during the period from April 30 to May 2.
– A warning for rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning has been issued for Western UP until April 30, and for Eastern UP between April 29 and May 1.
