In the IPL 2026 match being played between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals, Marcus Stoinis caused tremendous havoc in the last overs. He changed the course of the match by scoring 24 runs in just one over of Brijesh Sharma. This stormy innings of Stoinis played an important role in taking Punjab to a big score.

Australian star all-rounder Marcus Stoinis, playing for Punjab Kings in the 40th match of IPL 2026 being played on Tuesday (April 28) at PCA Stadium, Mullanpur, set the match on fire with his explosive batting. Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag has won the toss and decided to bowl first in this match.

Punjab Kings had a good start and Prabhsimran Singh gave a strong platform to the team by playing a brilliant inning of 59 runs in 44 balls. After this, when Marcus Stoinis came to the crease to bat at number five in the 14th over, he took some time in the beginning, but changed gears as soon as he got set.

Stoinis first hit big shots against Yash Punja and Nandre Berger and then completely dominated in the last overs. Especially he wreaked havoc in Brijesh Sharma’s overs. In this over, Stoinis scored a total of 24 runs by hitting 3 fours and 2 sixes in the last five balls and completely spoiled the line-length of the bowler. In this match, he played a stormy inning of 62 unbeaten runs in 22 balls, which included 4 fours and 6 sixes.

Thanks to this strong finishing by Stoinis, Punjab Kings batted first and scored a big score of 222. His innings put Punjab in a completely strong position in the match and made the challenge very difficult for Rajasthan.
