Big success for Delhi Police’s Special Cell, cache of weapons brought by ISI drone recovered
New Delhi. The Special Cell of Delhi Police has achieved great success. The Special Cell has seized a large cache of sophisticated weapons smuggled into India through drones on the instructions of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. In this action, the Special Cell team has recovered a total of 23 state-of-the-art foreign weapons including Zigana, Glock and PX pistols.
Police have arrested 9 accused in this case. Many of the arrested accused were in direct contact with the handlers sitting in Pakistan. Investigation has revealed that this consignment of weapons sent from Pakistan through drone was being brought to supply anti-social elements and notorious gangsters.
Apart from this, the Special Cell has also recovered indigenous weapons and their parts being manufactured in Munger, Bihar. This action is being considered a major success of Delhi Police in breaking the international arms smuggling network that promotes organized crime and possible terrorist activities in Delhi-NCR and surrounding states.
The police are trying to reach the depth of the Pakistan-based handlers and the entire network in further investigation. This success of Delhi Police Special Cell is being described as a major achievement of the security agencies.
