Network of expressways is being laid in UP, good news for all the districts

Lucknow. Rapid changes are being seen in the road and traffic sector in Uttar Pradesh. The expressways being continuously built by the state government are now becoming the identity of the state. After the recent commencement of the 594 km long Ganga Expressway, Uttar Pradesh has become the state with the highest number of expressways in the country.

Now a total of seven big expressways are operational in the state, whose total length is about 1911 kilometers. It accounts for about 60 percent of the expressway network of the entire country, which puts Uttar Pradesh at the forefront of road development.

Ganga Expressway became the most special

The Ganga Expressway stretches from Meerut to Prayagraj and connects several major districts along the way. Its biggest feature is that a 3.5 kilometer long airstrip has been built on it, where fighter planes can land in case of emergency.

The entire state connected to these expressways

In Uttar Pradesh, major routes like Agra-Lucknow, Purvanchal, Bundelkhand, Yamuna, Gorakhpur Link, Meerut-Delhi and Ganga Expressway are connecting different parts of the state. The travel time through these roads has reduced significantly and people are getting direct, fast and safe facilities.

Many new routes under construction

Work is going on on many new expressways in the state. New routes are being built from Lucknow to Kanpur, Delhi to Dehradun and Ghaziabad to Kanpur. Apart from this, many more new routes are proposed, for which the process of land acquisition has started.

Benefit to both village and city

The benefits of these expressways will not be limited to big cities only. Its effect will be visible in villages also. It will be easier for farmers to transport their crops to the market, small traders will get new markets, industries will get a boost and employment opportunities for the youth will increase.
