“Will not blame the bowlers”, Hardik Pandya said on defeat despite scoring 243 runs, told how the match slipped out of hand

Hardik Pandya on Lost against SRH: The poor performance of Mumbai Indians continues under the leadership of Hardik Pandya. On the night of 29th April, playing at their home i.e. Wankhede Stadium, MI had to face their 6th defeat of the season. Batting first after winning the toss, Mumbai set the target of 244 runs on the basis of Ryan Rickleton’s brilliant innings of 123 runs. But this target also proved to be dwarf in front of the storm of Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen. After this match, the bowling of Mumbai Indians is being criticized all around. But Hardik has not blamed the bowlers for this defeat, let us know what he said in the post match interview.

Hardik did not blame the bowlers

Hardik Pandya said in the post match presentation that he does not want to blame the bowlers completely. Mumbai Indians as a team has not been able to show the game for which it is known. He further said that this season has not passed as expected but the team management and senior players will definitely find a solution. Concluding his talk, he said about the fans that MI did not give them much chance to celebrate, but despite this the fans have not left them. Hardik said,

This season has been something like this, if you get opportunities, you should capitalize on them. If you don’t do this, you feel sad. We don’t have much options this season. I will not blame our bowlers. As a team, we have not been able to do what MI is known for. We have passionate owners and supportive staff, hopefully we can find a solution. We haven’t given our fans much chance to celebrate but they have been loyal. Sometimes it hurts when the opposition team comes and they start shouting his name. But perhaps we need to give them more opportunity to celebrate and shout slogans.

Gave statement on his bowling also

Hardik Pandya has also given a statement on his bowling in the post match interview. He also gave credit to the batsmen of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Hardik said that he was confident that the bowlers would defend the target but it could not happen. The MI captain said,

I don’t think the dew had much of an impact, just that he played some good shots, we bowled bad balls. I had a lot of fun on the field today. I am confident that our bowlers will restrict 244 runs. But we could not execute it. I enjoyed bowling except the last three balls, I liked my bowling.

It is impossible for Mumbai Indians to go to the playoffs

Along with this, let us tell you that now it has become very difficult for Mumbai Indians to go to the playoffs. This team, which has scored only 2 points despite playing 8 matches, is at 9th place in the points table. If they want to make it to the top-4, they will have to win the remaining 6 matches. Which seems almost impossible.
