Rovman Powell Catch: In the IPL 2026 match played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants, Rovman Powell took such a catch of Mitchell Marsh that everyone was surprised to see it. During this time he also got injured, but his efforts proved to be very important for the team.

Rovman Powell caught everyone’s attention with his brilliant catch in the 38th match of IPL 2026 played on Sunday (26 April) at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Even though he could not contribute in this match with the bat, he definitely did wonders in fielding.

Batting first in this match, Kolkata Knight Riders had scored 155 runs. While defending this small target, KKR needed good fielding along with good bowling and Powell did the same. In the second over of LSG’s innings, Mitchell Marsh tried to play a big shot, but the ball did not hit the bat properly and went in the air towards mid-on.

Powell first ran in the wrong direction, but then immediately collected himself and dived in the other direction, keeping his eyes on the ball. He took the catch in brilliant style by pouncing to the left. During this, he fell hard on the ground and got injured in his hip and elbow.

Marsh was out after scoring just 2 runs and LSG got the first blow on the score of 8 runs. However, fortunately the injury was not serious and Powell returned to the field after receiving treatment from the physio.

Talking about the match, batting first in this match, KKR scored 155 runs due to the impeccable innings of Rinku Singh (83*), in response to which LSG also reached par and the match was tied. In the Super Over, Sunil Narayan bowled brilliantly and dismissed Nicholas Pooran (0) on the very first ball and then Aiden Markram (0) on the third ball, due to which LSG was able to score only 1 run. As a result, KKR won this match easily in the super over.
