PSL 2026: Pakistan Super League 2026 is going to end soon. The final of PSL 2026 is going to be played on 3rd May i.e. Sunday. Peshawar Zalmi has already made it to the finals of PSL 2026. Now one of the teams Islamabad United and Hyderabad Kingsmen will join them. Before that, Steve Smith, the experienced player of Multan Sultan team, which was eliminated from PSL 2026, has given a big statement.

Steve Smith was asked in the Pakistan Super League that, you have played in some of the top leagues of the world. What rank do you place in PSL and which batsman and bowler have impressed you the most in this league? On this question, Steve Smith has given an answer which was not expected from him. He has made PSL better than IPL.

Smith said, ‘I had a great time in Pakistan. I really enjoyed playing in Pakistan Super. There is a lot of talent in Pakistan. Hopefully I will come back to play in PSL again next time. PSL is better than IPL.

Smith gave a strange statement

Steve Smith said, ‘There are many impressive players in Pakistan Super League. It has been a really good league. There’s a lot of talent here, that’s for sure. We have a lot of quality players in our team. Sahibzada Farhan, obviously it has been good to bat with him at the top. The way he takes the game forward, we have been able to work well together. One day I might fire and he might start a little slower and the next day he might fire while I might start a little slower. So, it has been a good partnership. In terms of bowling, there have been many quality performers in all the teams.

Questions raised on Steve Smith’s fitness

By watching Steve Smith in this video, his fitness can be estimated. He is playing in Pakistan Super League with this kind of fitness. For this reason, Smith remained unsold in IPL because the demands of age on him are clearly visible. He has also taken retirement from international cricket. In such a situation, PSL is playing unfit foreign players in the tournament and expecting better from them.
