Even the government system is not untouched by the hatred sown by BJP, Bihari-Purvanchalis are being targeted: Mahabal Mishra

Delhi News: Aam Aadmi Party has blamed the hatred of BJP sown within the society for years for the murder of a youth shot dead in Jafarpur, Delhi, due to ‘Bihar’. Senior party leader Mahabal Mishra said that now even the government system is not untouched by the hatred sown by BJP. This poison has also seeped into the system and Bihari-Purvanchalis are being targeted. The shooting of a young man by a policeman in Jafarpur on April 25 considering him to be a “Bihari” is the result of the hatred sown by the BJP. For years, BJP people have been insulting the Purvanchalis living in Delhi by calling them ‘dirty, Bihari, those who stop development’. He demanded from the government that strict action should be taken against the accused. Also, a member of the victim’s family should be given a job and a compensation of Rs 1 crore.

While addressing a press conference at AAP headquarters on Thursday, Mahabal Mishra said that the incident that happened on the night of 25th April in Jafarpur area of Delhi is very sad. The way the word Bihari was used to create hatred and people were shot, it is very sad. In this incident, a boy named Pandav has died and a boy named Shankar is admitted in Deendayal Hospital in critical condition. This kind of hate feeling was earlier present in the society, but now it has started appearing in the administration also. Administrative officers are the protectors of the public, they have also become predators. They do not ask the name, rather they ask where they are from and on hearing the name of Bihar, they shoot at him. This kind of feeling of hatred spread in the society is highly condemnable.

Mahabal Mishra said that this hatred has been created by BJP. The then mayor of BJP used to say that the lifestyle of the people of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh is dirty and they spoil the environment of the capital, hence they should be stopped from coming to Delhi. Vijay Goyal had filed a petition in the High Court, so that students from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh could not get admission in Delhi University. In 2014, Vijay Goyal had said in the Rajya Sabha that every year about six lakh people from Purvanchal come to Delhi and their arrival stops development. Therefore these should be banned. The feeling of hatred that BJP has spread from the beginning has now spread among the administrative officers also. Today the protectors have become the predators, which is a matter of great sadness.

Mahabal Mishra said that the people of Purvanchal have made a huge contribution in strengthening Delhi by working hard. They have not come here just as IAS, IPS, journalists or leaders, but by working hard here, they have made a huge contribution in taking Delhi forward. Today, it is a matter of great regret to shoot the people of the same Purvanchal by saying that they have come here and looted everything and built their houses. He said that when outsiders were settling in Delhi, BJP leaders had sued that it would cause harm to Delhi. In 2006, the sealing law came and factories and houses were closed, due to which 27 lakh Biharis had to flee Delhi at that time. In this way, from the very beginning, BJP’s thinking has been to spread hatred in the society. Now that feeling of society has reached the administrative officers also and the protectors have become the predators, which is very sad.

Mahabal Mishra demanded that BJP should pay attention to ensure that such incidents do not happen in future. Immediate and prompt action should be taken against the accused police officer. The victim’s family lives in a rented house, and the only person running the house was Pandav. He used to support the family by riding a motorcycle in the morning and evening or by working for someone else. That boy has died and now there is no one to earn in that family. The father had two sons, one of whom was a Pandava and the other son was suffering from TB. Therefore he cannot be of any help. The parents of the deceased also worked as labourers. Therefore that family has suffered a huge loss. Aam Aadmi Party demands from the government that one person from that family should be given a job and a compensation of Rs 1 crore should be given to them, so that the condition of that family can improve. There is a need to alert the government, police department and administrative officials so that such incidents do not happen in future.

Mahabal Mishra said that officers should not use such objectionable words. Delhi does not belong to any one person or party, rather Delhi belongs to the entire India. All the residents of India come here. All the people living here are not originally from Delhi, rather they have come from outside Delhi and settled here. Outsiders have a huge contribution in strengthening Delhi. How long will the people of BJP continue to insult the people of Purvanchal by calling them Bihari and Purbia? We have a huge contribution in strengthening Delhi. Therefore, strict action should be taken in this matter and the family should get immediate assistance.

Mahabal Mishra said that the incident took place on April 25 and it has been four days, but the BJP MP and local MLA reached his house only yesterday. I was in Patna for two days, but when I came to know, I, Vinay Mishra, Sanjeev Jha and our local representatives Pooja Baliyan, Deepak Bora and everyone else immediately reached there. We were outside, yet we immediately ran away from there. Despite the incident happening on April 25, the MPs and local MLAs reached there when we went there on Wednesday. If the sentiments of BJP leaders towards Purvanchal and outsiders were so good, they would have reached there on the very first day, in the night or the next morning.

Mahabal Mishra further said that ever since the BJP government came to power at the Centre, their hatred is continuously increasing. Even in 1993, when BJP was in power in Delhi, they had spread hatred. For some time now, it has been seen that the slums of people living in slums of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and other states of India are being demolished by calling them Rohingyas and Bangladeshis. Even after so many years, the same hatred is being spread and people are being driven out by demolishing slums. How long will this hatred last? BJP should not spread hatred and create a harmonious environment in the society. This will make the country prosperous and strengthen it.

At the same time, Akhilesh Pati Tripathi, president of Delhi Purvanchal wing of AAP, said that the manner in which a bullet was fired in Jafarpur village at 2.30 am on the night of 25th April by asking the name of the area and hating the regionalism, this murder of Pandav is completely a government murder. Such hatred and contempt for the people of Purvanchal can be seen in the mind of a police officer only when the policies of the four engine government of BJP running in Delhi are like this. BJP leader Vijay Goel used to say that people of Purvanchal make Delhi dirty. This reflects their anti-Purvanchal and Bihar mentality and that mentality has now reached the institutions in this four-engine government. There has been so much hatred among the people of the organization and the police that after asking whether the person was from Bihar, he was shot. This incident cannot be condemned enough.

Akhilesh’s husband Tripathi said that another friend of the deceased, Krishna, is still injured. Aam Aadmi Party will not tolerate this insult to the people of Purvanchal and Bihar at all. BJP leaders are the same people who used to say that if they come to power, they will do good to the people of Purvanchal, but after coming to power, this four-engine government has done the most work of demolishing slums. They have destroyed people’s homes and driven them away from Delhi. People of Purvanchal used to get employment by street vendors, BJP has worked to destroy their employment.

He said that now hatred has been spread so much that it has spread to people and administrative officials of every institution. If any such incident is seen again, every person of Purvanchal will take to the streets. One person was murdered and another was seriously injured, but the Chief Minister has not yet got enough time to go and meet the families of the victims. This reflects the mentality of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta towards the people of Purvanchal. If the BJP government does not provide relief to the victim’s family, the Aam Aadmi Party will not remain silent. We will take to the streets and work to get justice for that family. He demanded from the BJP government that strict action should be taken against the accused who shot. Also, one member of the victim’s family should be given a job and Rs 1 crore compensation should be given.

On the other hand, former AAP MLA Vinay Mishra said that BJP’s love for Purvanchal is in front of everyone. It has been four days since the accident happened in the family, but no representative of the government has reached there yet. BJP leaders hate the people of Purvanchal. BJP’s transport minister comes from Bihar, but his picture is not on any Delhi Transport Corporation bus; There is only the photograph of the Chief Minister. Even during Chhath, everyone saw how BJP played with our emotions, played with our faith in the dirty and sewer-like Yamuna and made our people take a dip in that sewer water.

Vinay Mishra said that this deceit of BJP for Bihar is in front of everyone. They remember us just to get votes. Our numbers are more in Delhi, if our numbers were less then they would have driven us away from Delhi. Their love for Purvanchal is visible in front of everyone today, this hatred is not the first time. They have a long history of hating the people of Bihar and have spread that hatred among the officials also.

Vinay Mishra said that BJP should compensate the victim’s family and sensitize such officers. Now the government should give training to its officers that people from different states live in India. India is a mixed and beautiful country made up of many regions. The capital of this country is Delhi, and people from all over India come and settle in Delhi. People from all over the country, from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and from Punjab to West Bengal, live here.

Vinay Mishra said that mutual harmony should be created here, but the beauty and love of India has been converted into hatred by BJP. So much hatred is being spread in this country just for the sake of votes and people are being divided among themselves. This is not at all good for the times to come. I demand the BJP to compensate the victim’s family, provide a job to one of their family members and make arrangements for their living. My demand to the Chief Minister is that he should not do drama. They should go and meet that family and at least console them, so that they feel that there is someone well-wishing them in Delhi.

Vinay Mishra told that all the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party are reaching there and they will also help them financially. I am a member of the Aam Aadmi Party, but being a Purvanchali and a citizen of Bihar, I thank all those leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party who are going there and meeting the family and helping them financially.
