In an important development, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei on Thursday targeted US President Donald Trump and said that the new management of the Strait of Hormuz will bring peace and end the arbitrariness of the enemy.

Trump will not compromise on these issues

In a statement he said that the Islamic Republic "Nuclear and missile capabilities" Will protect it as a national asset, even if US President Donald Trump is trying to reach a compromise on these issues.

Mojtaba targeted Trump

Mojtaba Khamenei issued this written statement which was read out on Iranian state television. He has been issuing similar statements since the death of his 86-year-old father Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in an air strike on February 28 and after that he took over the leadership.

Ninety million respected Iranians, living inside and outside the country, consider all the spiritual, human, scientific, industrial and technological capabilities associated with Iran’s identity, from nanotechnology and biotechnology to nuclear and missile capabilities, as national assets. They will protect them in the same way as they protect the country’s water, land and airspace.

The supreme leader further said that the only place for the Americans in the Persian Gulf is “in the depths of its waters”, and claimed that Tehran remains in full control of the Strait of Hormuz. With God’s help and power, the Persian Gulf region will have a bright future without America.

A future that will be dedicated to the progress, happiness and prosperity of the people here. We and our neighbors across the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman are linked by a common destiny. There is no place here for the foreigners who come here from thousands of kilometers away with greed and hostility.
