Double face of Akali Dal exposed, those who question law and order are themselves helpers of criminals: Baltej Pannu

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab State Media Incharge Baltej Pannu, while making a scathing attack on Shiromani Akali Dal, said that the Akali Dal, which is today shedding crocodile tears on the law and order situation of the state, has actually been at the forefront in giving political protection to criminals and gangsters. Expressing surprise, he said that the condition of Akali Dal is such that on one hand they talk about peace and on the other hand they are handing over political power to the wife of a notorious gangster by making her ‘constituency in-charge’.

What did Baltej Pannu say?

Baltej Pannu said that Akali Dal has tried not only in one place but in many other areas also to fit people close to gangsters into mainstream politics. He asked whether there is such a shortage of honest workers in the Akali Dal that now they have to take help from the families of gangsters to run their party? This is a direct betrayal of the people of Punjab.

Referring to the recent developments, Pannu said that a case was registered against the parents of notorious gangster Goldie Brar in a serious case of extortion. When he approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court against this action, the court rejected his petition. The surprising thing is that the lawyers appearing in the court on behalf of Goldie Brar’s family were directly associated with the Akali Dal. Due to this, the double face of Akali Dal has become completely naked.

Pannu said in strong words that on one hand the Akali Dal pretends to corner the government on the issue of law and order, and on the other hand the same people stand as a shield against law breakers and extortionists. Inducting criminals into the party, making them in-charge of the constituency and running their cases proves that the Akali Dal’s attire is political, but its sympathies have always been with anti-social elements. The people of Punjab have recognized this scary and double face of Akali Dal.
