30 July 1945. Seemingly calm still sea. A US fighter CA-35 is circling there. Suddenly a Japanese submarine rushed towards that direction. The ship sank instantly. 900 people fell into the water! Only 316 of them survived. The rest could not survive due to various reasons like lack of drinking water, shark attacks. Eight decades later, that memory floated on the edge of history. The weapon is believed to be the Hoot. Which can destroy enemy ships and warships instantly with the speed of a bullet. In Irani’s words, “It’s aimed at them. I hope they don’t have a heart attack.” Defense expert Sandeep Unnithan says Irani is probably referring to the Hoot weapon. It is not entirely new though. The weapon was first tested in 2006. Its speed is so high that it can destroy enemy ships in an instant. The maximum speed can be 360 km per hour.
But if Iran really thought about that weapon, there is a problem. Hutke has not been tested under realistic conditions. Due to speed, noise, bubbles it is very difficult to drive them accurately. On the other hand, the challenge is to destroy a US warship like the USS Abraham. In that case you have to go very close to that ship. Because the range of ‘Hoot’ is only 15 km. Penetrating US defenses at such close range and not being caught is nearly impossible. As a result, even after the rise of Iran, there is still a ‘doubt’.
