Are you suffering from the scorching heat? Adopt Ayurvedic remedies for protection!
In view of the increasing heat and heat wave, health experts appeal to take special care of yourself and your family and recommend adopting Ayurvedic remedies. According to experts, it is very important to drink enough water, eat light and nutritious diet and adopt Ayurvedic routine during the summer season.
All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) has appealed to the general public that it is most important to maintain coolness and moisture in the body in summer. First of all, keep yourself well hydrated. One should drink as much water as possible throughout the day. It is beneficial to consume different types of liquids, not just water.
Ayurveda experts believe that by adopting these easy measures and routine, problems caused by heat like fatigue, dizziness, dehydration and digestive problems can be reduced to a great extent.
AIIA recommends Ayurvedic measures to prevent heat. Like consuming basil seeds, white onion, khus, sandalwood and mogra etc.
Basil seeds: Soak basil seeds in water overnight and drink that water in the morning. It cools the body and also improves digestion.
Khus, sandalwood and mogra: Keep these three soaked in water. Drinking this water provides natural coolness to the body and reduces fatigue caused by heat.
white onion: Consuming white onion in summer is also beneficial. It helps in controlling body temperature.
Ayurveda Institute advises to avoid heavy, fried and spicy food during the summer season. Instead, eat light, fresh and nutritious food. Consume more fruits, vegetables, curd, buttermilk and salad. Be careful while going out in the sun. One should avoid going out between 12 noon to 4 pm. If necessary, wear umbrella, hat, glasses and light colored loose clothes.
