Christopher Nolan compares ‘The Odyssey’ to ‘The Dark Knight’
Oscar winning director Christopher Nolan, who is all set to bring out a new film titled The Odyssey this year, has unveiled the pressure he had making the movie.
Nolan compared the pressure of making the Greek epic with that he faced while working on his 2008 classic film, The Dark Night.
The British is making a film based on Homer’s epic poem of the same name. As it is an adaptation of a popular book, people are already going to have high hopes from the movie, which eventually adds more pressure on the maker.

“There’s a massive amount of pressure. Anyone taking on ‘The Odyssey’ is taking on the hopes and dreams of people for epic movies everywhere and that comes with a huge responsibility”
While discussing the burden, Nolan emphasized that he learnt an important thing after making The Dark Knight.
He says that people mainly see how strong and sincere is the interpretation of the director.
AP News reported that the Oppenheimer creator shared, “What I learned from (Batman) is that what people want from a movie about a beloved story, a beloved set of characters, is they want a strong and sincere interpretation.”
“They want to know that a filmmaker has gone to the mat for it. I really tried to make the best film possible.”
The classic Batman movie made by Nolan is considered to be the best one in the DC world. It featured Christian Bale as the caped crusader against late Heath Ledger’s Joker.

Fans are eagerly waiting to see the director’s next big project The Odyssey, which is slated to release on July 17.
