Petrol-Diesel Rate: On May 1, oil companies have increased the price of commercial gas cylinders in the country. Along with this, small 5 kg cylinder has also become expensive. After the increase in gas prices, only one question is arising in the minds of people whether the prices of petrol and diesel will also increase. Although the oil and gas companies have not yet made any official announcement to increase the price of petrol and diesel, the price of crude oil is continuously increasing. From this it can be estimated that the prices of petrol and diesel may also increase.
Due to the Middle East war, global crude oil prices have increased rapidly. But the oil companies in the country have not made any change in the prices of petrol and diesel, due to which the losses of the companies are increasing. If companies want to compensate for the losses, they will have to increase the prices. News agency PTI quoted government sources and reported that the possibility of increase in prices of petrol and diesel in future cannot be ruled out. That means there is a strong possibility of the price of petrol and diesel increasing.
Crude oil price increased in international market
After LPG, now common people are afraid of increasing prices of petrol and diesel. Because these days in the international market also the price of crude oil had crossed around $125 per barrel, although after that there was a slight decline, but even after this the price is above around $115 per barrel. The only reason for the increase in crude oil is the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Loss of Rs 100 per liter in diesel
Only last week, an official of the Petroleum Ministry said that government oil companies are incurring a loss of about Rs 20 per liter on petrol and about Rs 100 per liter on diesel. At present, there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel. Now it has to be seen what steps the government oil companies take regarding the prices of petrol and diesel.
