Tezzbuzz Desk – Actress Poonam Dasgupta, who became famous with the popular horror film of the 90s, Papi Gudiya, is in the news these days regarding a serious matter. The actress has lodged a complaint at Oshiwara Police Station in Mumbai. She alleges that she is being mentally harassed by continuously sending obscene videos, nude pictures and old personal pictures on WhatsApp.
Objectionable content is continuously being sent on WhatsApp
According to reports, Poonam Dasgupta was at her home around 6:30 pm on April 27, when she started receiving objectionable videos and obscene pictures from some unknown numbers.
Initially he tried to ignore it, but when this trend continued to increase, the matter became serious. The actress says that this is not just a violation of her privacy but also direct mental harassment.
Reached police station after discussion with husband
Poonam Dasgupta first talked to her husband about this entire matter and then formally reached Oshiwara Police Station on 29 April and lodged a complaint.
He has also handed over to the police the screenshots of all those messages in which obscene videos and pictures were sent. Police have registered a case under the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and started investigation.
Suspicion increased due to sending old photos
The actress also alleged that the accused also sent some of her old photographs, which are no longer publicly available.
She says that those pictures are no longer available even on Google, which makes her suspect that it could be someone she knows who deliberately wants to harass her mentally.
He said, “Those pictures are not even on the internet anymore. It seems that it could be someone close or known to me.”

Poonam Dasgupta started her acting career as a child artiste in Bengali cinema. After this, apart from Hindi, he also worked in Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada films. He got special recognition from the film Papi Gudiya and played many memorable roles in the 90s.
Police are investigating
At present, the police of Oshiwara Police Station is investigating the screenshots and the WhatsApp number from which this content was sent. The police is trying to find out who is behind this harassment and what is his motive.
