Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M)’s total vehicle sales rose 14 per cent year-on-year to 94,627 units in April. Domestic passenger vehicle sales rose eight per cent to 56,331 units last month from 52,330 units in April 2025, the automaker informed stock markets on Friday. Sales of commercial vehicles in the domestic market were recorded at 23,427 units. The company’s Chief Executive Officer (Automotive Division) Nalinikanth Gollaganta said that the company has started the financial year 2026-27 on a positive note in April. Tractor sales rose 21 percent to 48,411 units in April compared to 40,054 units in April 2025.

Domestic tractor sales rose 20 percent to 46,404 units in April as compared to 38,516 units in the same month last year. Vijay Nakara, President, Farm Equipment Business, M&M, said tractor exports rose 30 per cent to 2,007 units in April as against 1,538 units in April 2028.

JSW MG Motor India’s wholesale sales rose 3 percent year-on-year to 6,018 units in April. Both its internal combustion engine (ICE) and new energy vehicle (NEV) divisions continued to operate at a steady pace, the automaker said in a statement on Friday. This affected consumer sentiment, resulting in a slight decline in overall demand in the auto market, but despite this, growth in wholesale sales was recorded.

Tata Motors Ltd’s total commercial vehicle sales rose 28 percent year-on-year to 34,833 units in April from 27,221 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales rose 27.9 percent to 32,965 units as compared to 25,764 units in April 2026, the automaker informed stock exchanges on Friday. The company’s international sales rose 28.2 percent to 1,868 units as against 1,457 units in the same month last year. Meanwhile, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd reported on Friday that its total sales in April 2026 rose 31.12 percent to 59,701 units as against 45,532 units in the same month last year.
According to the company, passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market rose 30.5 percent to 59,000 units in April from 45,199 units in the same month last year.
