Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are face to face in the 45th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. In this afternoon’s match being played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, SRH captain Pat Cummins has won the toss and decided to bat first. Cummins said that the pitch looks very good. He told that R Smaran and Harshal Patel have been included in place of Nitish Kumar Reddy and Harsh Dubey.
Nitish is not well, due to which he is not playing today’s match (May 3). He was replaced by remembrance. Karnataka’s rising batsman Smaran is making his IPL debut. Left arm spin all-rounder Harsh Dubey was replaced by Harshal.

Two changes in KKR also
KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane said during the toss that we also wanted to bat first. Rahane said that the long break helped the team recover from the poor start. KKR has also entered with two changes. Finn Allen has returned in place of Tim Seifert. Whereas Manish Pandey has got a chance in place of Ramandeep Singh.
