Siwan Murder Twist: Main Accused Sonu Yadav Shot Dead in Encounter

New Delhi: In a major breakthrough, Bihar Police on Sunday killed the main accused, Sonu Yadav, in an early morning encounter in Sivan. Officials said the operation followed sustained efforts to track down those involved in the high-profile murder case.

Killing That Triggered Outrage

The case dates back to April 29, when Harsh Singh, nephew of BJP leader Manoj Singhwas shot dead after a dispute. His brother-in-law, who was present during the attack, suffered serious injuries. The incident created panic in the area, especially after a video of the shooting surfaced online, showing the accused firing openly.

Police Action and Key Arrests

Following the incident, police launched multiple raids. During the investigation, the vehicle used in the crime was recovered, and its driver, Sunil Yadav, was arrested and sent to judicial custody. Earlier, another accused, Chhotu Yadav, was injured in a separate encounter linked to the case.

Manhunt for Remaining Accused

Police said efforts are ongoing to apprehend other suspects involved in the murder. Teams have been deployed at multiple locations, and more arrests are expected as the investigation progresses.
