Jabalpur cruise accident: Mother did not leave her son even after death: Mother and son buried together in the same grave

New Delhi: The Bargi Dam accident in Jabalpur took away the happiness of an entire family. In this tragic tragedy, three members of the Masih family spanning three generations – Madhur Masih, his daughter Marina and four-year-old grandson Trishaan – were separated forever. On Saturday, when the bodies of the three reached the narrow streets of Khajan Basti in Mayapuri by ambulance, every eye present there became moist.

The most poignant picture of this accident was the one which tore everyone’s heart. It was told that even when the boat was sinking in water during the accident, mother Marina was holding her four-year-old son Trishaan tightly to her chest. The strong waves, the fear of death and the final struggle – nothing could loosen the grip of mother’s love. The mother did not let her son separate from her till her last breath.

Whoever heard this scene, his soul trembled. The family also decided that the mother who did not leave her son’s side till the last moment of her death, would be given a similar farewell. Therefore, mother and son were buried in the same grave in the Dwarka Christian cemetery, so that the son could remain safe in his mother’s lap even in his eternal journey.

During the burial, amidst the prayers of the priest and religious rituals, when the relatives poured soil on the coffins with trembling hands, the entire cemetery echoed with sobs. Everyone present there had tears in their eyes and only one question in their heart – why did this family suffer such a huge sorrow?

Family head Julius Masih, son-in-law Pradeep and innocent Siya survived the accident, but the pain of seeing their loved ones drowning in front of their eyes has broken them to the core. They are in no position to talk to anyone. It seems as if a mountain of sorrow has fallen on the entire family.

There was only one prayer on every tongue – May God not send such a thunderbolt even on any enemy. This accident of Bargi Dam has become not just an accident but a pain which the city will not be able to forget for a long time.
