GT vs PBKS: 5 consecutive fours-sixes, fifty in 24 balls, who is Suryansh Shedge?
The destructive batting line-up of Punjab Kings (PBKS) collapsed against Gujarat Titans (GT) on Sunday (May 3). The PBKS team, which was winning the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on the basis of its batsmen, looked helpless in front of GT in Ahmedabad. When invited to bat first, the team lost 5 wickets till the score of 47 runs. It seemed difficult for PBKS to reach 100 runs but Suryansh Shedge played a stormy innings to reach a respectable score.
Shedgi, playing only his second match of this season, could score only 13 runs on his first 14 balls. After this he changed gears by hitting a six on Arshad Khan. In the next over, Marcus Stoinis brought him on strike early and Shedge took full advantage of it. Shedge hit Manav Kumar for two consecutive sixes. After this he hit two consecutive fours and then ended the over with a six. Shedge’s explosive batting helped PBKS cross 100.
