Ranveer to revisit ‘India’s Got Latent’ row in new documentary
A year after a controversy that refused to fade, Indian YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as beer bicep, is trying to rewrite the narrative, not quietly, but in front of cameras again.
His recent appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show with comedian Samay Raina has brought old conversations back into focus.
In a behind-the-scenes vlog released after the show aired, the 32-year-old shared moments from the set with host Kapil Sharma.
Sitting in his vanity van after filming, Ranveer reflected on the crowd’s reaction, saying, “It felt good after a long one year of everything.”

The vlog also showed him and Samay recreating their once-viral image from the now-removed show, almost as if closing a chapter.
But the bigger reveal came later. The Podcaster announced a new documentary focused entirely on the controversy that shook his career.
“We are releasing a very detailed Latent documentary next month. Everything that happened during the controversy, day by day, has been recorded… I want to bury this controversy and move on to the next phase of my life,” he said.
The fallout from the 2025 episode had been severe. Police cases were filed, episodes were deleted, and online backlash spilled into real-world threats for some involved.
Following this stressful episode, Ranveer returned to his podcaster seat after a few months, and nearly a year later, Samay also made a strong comeback with his stand-up special I Am Still Alivewhich went on to become one of the most-watched full-length comedy specials globally
