“Fear is over, democracy won…” Rupali Ganguly’s tweet on Bengal results goes viral, Mamata Banerjee cornered

Mumbai: Rupali Ganguly, who made her name in every household with TV’s superhit show ‘Anupama’, is in the news these days not only for her acting but also for her outspoken political statements. Rupali, who often posts in support of PM Modi and BJP, has now given such a reaction on the results of West Bengal Assembly elections, which has created a stir on social media. Elated with BJP’s historic victory in Bengal, Rupali left no stone unturned in targeting Mamata Banerjee’s party TMC.

Rupali targeted TMC

Rupali Ganguly has shared a post on the social media platform ‘X’ (Twitter), which went viral in no time. In this post he termed Bengal’s victory as ‘the victory of democracy over fear’. Rupali wrote, “Bengal chose democracy over fear. Heartfelt thanks to our brave CRPF jawans for ensuring peaceful voting despite every challenge. Jai CRPF.” This statement of Rupali was clearly a reference to the reports of violence during the TMC rule.

Journey into politics after acting

Rupali Ganguly started her political career by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party in this year i.e. 2024. At that time, there were speculations that Rupali might contest the elections, however, she thought it better to campaign for the party instead of contesting the elections. While joining BJP, she had said that she wants to contribute to the great sacrifice of the country’s development and for this she needs the blessings of the public.

BJP demolished Mamata’s fort in Bengal

Let us tell you that for the last 15 years, Mamata Banerjee’s party TMC had absolute rule in West Bengal. But this time BJP has made a big breakthrough and registered a historic victory. In the elections held on 293 seats in Bengal, BJP has crossed the majority mark by winning about 205 seats alone. At the same time, Mamata Banerjee’s TMC has been reduced to just 82 seats. This massive victory of BJP has completely changed the politics of the state.
