The box office performance of Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar The Revenge has decreased its momentum after seven weeks of theatrical release yet its collection total has reached new record-breaking heights.

The film achieved a new milestone on Sunday when its total earnings exceeded the lifetime revenue of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 The Conclusion making it the second most profitable Indian film in history.

The movie Dhurendhar 2 which features Ranveer Singh as its main actor reached its 46th theatrical day on Sunday May 3. This past week the film experienced its first drop in screen count below 500 since its initial release because newer movies took more showtime across India.

That is why the film’s domestic collections have dropped to ₹1-1.5 crore per day. The film has reached an India box office total of ₹1138 crore net which equals ₹1362 crore gross.

The film has achieved exceptional success throughout all international markets. The film has generated more than $50 million in worldwide revenue because it operates without showing in Gulf countries which rank among the largest markets for Indian cinema.

As of Monday morning (May 4) Dhurandhar 2’s gross global earnings stand at ₹1789 crore. The film has reached its current total of ₹1789 crore after surpassing Baahubali 2’s previous record of ₹1788 crore which stood for ten years.

Dhurandhar 2 has lost its box office performance after reaching its peak. The audience preference for the movie has declined since its release because Bhooth Bangla and Hollywood movies Michael and The Devil Wears Prada 2 became available.

The upcoming weekend will see a decline to less than ₹50 lakh a day because new films will replace current ones.

The movie Dhurandhar 2 will achieve worldwide box office earnings of ₹1800 crore but it will not exceed that amount. It will remain the second-highest-grossing Indian film until a major upcoming release takes its place.

The movie presents no danger to Dangal which has retained its record with a ₹2070 crore gross for nearly ten years.
