Humayun Kabir happy with TMC’s defeat: Said- Didi looted as much in 15 years as the British looted in 200

Bengal elections. The stir in the politics of West Bengal has intensified. Humayun Kabir, who was once a part of Trinamool Congress (TMC), has openly expressed happiness over the party’s defeat. He said in clear words that the result that has emerged was bound to happen. While talking to the media, Kabir made a scathing attack on Mamata Banerjee and her government. He alleged that corruption and cheating of the public had been going on in the state for a long time, to which the public has now responded.

Allegation of ‘looting more than British rule’

Humayun Kabir said in his statement that the way the situation developed in Bengal in the last few years was extremely worrying. He said, “More damage was done to the state in a short period of time than what the British looted in 200 years.” He also congratulated the public for ousting TMC from power.

Controversy increased over Babri Masjid statement

Actually, Kabir came into limelight when he announced to build Babri Masjid in Murshidabad. This statement heated up the political atmosphere in the entire state and gradually this issue became a cause of polarization. Initially TMC distanced itself from this statement, but when the matter escalated, the party showed Kabir the way out. However, by then this issue had had a lot of political impact.

After parting ways with TMC, Humayun Kabir formed his new political party and formed an alliance with Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM. However, this alliance broke after a viral video surfaced during the elections. In the video, Kabir was accused of collusion with BJP, which he later rejected outright and called fake. Humayun Kabir has claimed that he has won from two seats. He said that after taking the certificates of both the seats, it will be decided which seat he will keep. Political experts believe that this time polarization has become a big factor in Bengal. Humayun Kabir’s statement on Babri Masjid is also being seen in this context, which made the election atmosphere more intense.
